Avondale students were international winners. Six Avondale students earned the right to represent Michigan at the 2004 International Future Problem Solving Bowl in Lexington, Kentucky. Competitors came from 47 states and Australia, Canada, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand and Russia. Competing in various categories, Avondale came away with several trophies, including a first, third and sixth place awards.
The Avondale Foundation supported the team with travel funds.
